Nida Rafiq Shiekh

Nida comes from Indian Administered Kashmir. She has completed her Masters in Mass coomunication and Journalism from Kashmir University in 2010. She is currently a freelance writer, blogger and a documentary film maker. She is also a member of Women writers forum in Kashmir. Nida is keen to make the international community aware of the problems and issues of the people in her state.

Atta-ur Rehman

Atta comes from Pakistan and has a vested interest in Sustainable Rural Development and Social Change. He is now volunteering at the International Young Professional Foundation and the Pakistan Red Crescent Society.

Fatima Zafer


Fatima is among those young and energetic ladies who always achieve everything with hard work and sincerity. She has done her Masters in Pakistan Studies/Social Sciences from Bahuaddin Zakariya University, Multan and holds the distinction in the respective field. She conducted many programmes on FM 103, Multan on political and social issues and her interaction with different developmental and societal departments gave her the exposures and motivation to work for her developmental sector in Pakistan. This passion started getting its way in her task with AwazCDS, where she worked as a Programme Officer since 2008. AwazCDS works through National and International partners where her support to programmes, especially Policy, Research and Advocacy Programme has brought the in-depth learning for her. During this time, she has written and assisted in a number of analytical researches, assessments, surveys, monitoring & evaluation & narrative reports and played an active role in Peace Marches and International Days and also in SUTA Make Noise for the MDGs for Global Call to Action against Poverty (GCAP): a United Nations Millennium Campaign (UNMCs) Project as a result of it she has been nominated as best outstanding staff member of AwazCDS. She is currently employed at Islamic Relief Pakistan as Monitoring & Evaluation Officer and being projected to this far imparts huge responsibilities. She is also serving as National Focal Point for Youth Peer Education Network.
