Deane Jayamanne

Deane is a volunteer at the youth-led organisation 'Beyond Borders', an organisation that works on development issues in Sri Lanka. He is currently in his final year of a degree in Information Technologies.

Guruparan Kumaravadivel

Guruparan is a Law student at the University of Colombo, and is part of Oxfam International Youth Partnerships. He is the co-founder of the Sri Lankan Youth Parliament and is involved with many peace-related initiatives. He comes from Jaffna, the epicenter of the conflict in Sri Lanka.


Sivapathasundaram Thirupparan

Sivapathasundaram 'Leo' comes from Jaffna, and is currently a student of Chemical Engineering at Moratuwa University. He is interested in Athletics and has partaken in several initiatives about Youth Leadership.

Earendil Mahindam

Earendil is a Burgher-Tamil, and currently works with the Sri Lankan Youth Parliament as well as Beyond Borders, both of which are organizations working with young people. His current interests are Youth Participation, History, Post-colonialism and Postmodernism. He writes as a child of the 'war generation' of Sri Lanka, having not known a country without war nor a land free from political and ethnic tensions all his life.
